Clyde Hill Haven

The cottage, my favorite house of all time!  Needed major TLC when we purchased it two years ago.  We re-roofed, painted the exterior a crisp white (always wanted a white house), gutted the kitchen and a downstairs bathroom.  Otherwise, it has such great bones and has a fantastic location!  This one is a keeper!
Great protected front door for fabulous summer pots!

I can see Seattle from this deck off the master, and really love hearing the music playing from the Christmas ship parade every year.  Can also hear the train whistle from downtown Seattle, for some reason that makes me deliriously happy!

New Kitchen going in!

Little trick, ...if you love carrera marble, (it's not the best kitchen countertop although all of the magazines seem to ignore that fact)...throw out some pastry boards just to get a touch of the beautiful marble in your kitchen without having to worry about the maintenance.  I pick them up at thrift stores for under $10.  Retail for around $70.

The Range Hood is my favorite thing in this kitchen!

The $20 garage sale chandelier hanging (not electrified) just to be pretty!  Ceiling medallion $4 Goodwill!

Both kid's initials are KT - that's convenient ; )
Kyle's well worn toddler jeans, Kelli's favorite little dress.  Ahh memories.

Gutted the downstairs bathroom.  New everything!  Found the vanity online to best represent the really expensive one that I loved at Restoration Hardware, saved about $2,000 on that piece alone.

Again, amateur art!  Love it.  Don't ducks really belong in a bathroom anyway?

Old window pane adds interest

Can't get enough of the old house moulding/knobs!  Nice ledge for the ducks

These cabinets were an awful "cherry" - painted them out asap, love this swedish gray blue!

Chandelier was my 25th wedding anniversary gift, the best kind of bling!!
The big red bird makes me so happy, can't explain it.

Before it was painted white, I like it so much better white, don't you?

Geraniums live at the front door well into November!
